About Us | The Taiwan SPCA was founded in 2009 and then registered as a legal NGO in December 2010 by Annie Chiang, Connie Chiang, and Beki Hunt. In its short history, Taiwan SPCA has been working to promote and improve animal welfare within Taiwan, while working with the government to establish grounds and partnerships that will move the country forward in adopting international standards with regards to animal protection legislation. Through it’s 4 main pillars of focus: 1) Animal Cruelty Investigations we hope to protect ALL animals and become a leader in Taiwan’s animal welfare sector. Taiwan SPCA also hopes to bring international welfare standards to the country. With a dedicated Board of Directors and Supervisors, featuring professionals from both private and public sectors, the Taiwan SPCA also has the support and guidance that are crucial to a non-profit. The Taiwan SPCA hopes to continue focusing on the root of animal welfare issues and aims to: *establish a professionally trained animal inspectorate to prevent and stop animal cruelty |
