My heart breaks for these kids for being raised amongst parents who make money from killing animals and what a life of torture. My parent gave up my dog ( lucky they went to a loving home and died of old age) and that itself ruins the whole relationship we had. Programs like this that make children raise animals and then force them to sell them for slaughter exist just to traumatize the next generation and desensitize them to animal suffering. If it weren’t for such rituals, I wonder if vegetarianism wouldn’t have caught on to a much greater extent several generations ago.
