Passionnate about nature, and more specifically birds, since my childhood, I started being active in various nature organizations (nature/bird protection, wildlife rescue centers,…) about 15 years ago, before specializing in Swift protection in Belgium (see my blog) within an international network. This implies addressing an aspect of biodiversity that is often overlooked: birds living (breeding) in buildings, including in the middle of the city.
