Rescued farm animals competed for food, shelterBERNE - More than 50 animals - from chickens to horses - were living without enough shelter, food and water before investigators rescued them Thursday, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said. The sheriff's office got an anonymous tip on Wednesday that several animals were being neglected at 745 Sickle Hill Road, Apple said.
